this place is so amazing that sometimes I want to cry. buenos aires is a city with over 1/3 of argentina's population, but is not a concrete jungle. there are trees everywhere, lining the streets, especially the small. the countless apartment buildings' decks all have pots of colorful flowers and green leaves that drift over the fence and drape the building in a way that makes you feel as if you are in a dreamland forest rather than the reality. there are beautiful parks where people go to be with their friends and lovers.
I have used the subway system a couple of times- so simple. nothing like dc's or anywhere else i've been, but the fact one must remain cautious and aware is no different. each day i walk about two hours and explore BA. i find myself falling in love more and more every second.
